As an educator who adores ALL things nerdy kid-friendly - THIS podcast is full of SO much more than science. We’ve all been in THAT science class where there is a simple lecture, textbook worksheets, and *insert yawn* partially-collaborative lab activities. Tim takes a deep dive into EVERYTHING in this world that any student would appreciate and relate to. His depth of knowledge and discussions with relevant guests are engaging and enthusiastic! My favorite episode (Ep. 59) explored the topic of ‘soundscapes’ with Tara-Lynn Kozma-Perrin as she described the ability to listen, grow, and build meaningful relationships through sound engineering. Stepping back and learning to develop wisdom through ‘acoustic ecology’. Our natural world is quite something to behold and Tim’s guidance through scientific concepts presented from a fresh perspective is more than meets the eye!

Tim has a wealth of knowledge that he shares in ways that are accessible to his audience. On top of exposing people to some great explanations of scientific phenomena, he provides valuable suggestions that can help us improve science education.

Great podcast on science education from the heart! This is a podcast for science teachers yes, but it is so much more. Tim talks with guests about the beauty and relevance of science. He also inspires and empowers his students and audience to use scientific knowledge to take action on environmental issues. Give it a listen!
