Welcome back to the In AWE Podcast and our series on Generosity. This series continues to amaze me in its depth, and I cannot wait to share the incredible story from today’s episode with you.
Shelly Biessel is a mother of two, educator, and co-founder of Love Conquers Violence, a Minneapolis based non-profit with a powerful mission to end domestic violence in their community. Shelly and her husband, Nick co-founded Love Conquers Violence after they lost tragically Nick’s sister to a domestic abuse-related homicide. Through the organization, they keep Natalie Biessel’s voice alive, impacting those suffering through domestic violence, as well as honoring Natalie’s spirit in the ways they support others pursuing service through the medical field as Natalie was when she died.
Shelly’s dedication to the mission in her message is insanely inspiring to me, and the generosity of her passionate spirit shows us how any tragedy can be used and nothing has to be wasted. I am in awe of this incredible woman and the way she and her husband keep Natalie's voice alive through loving service to others. I am honored to share with you Shelly Biessel's generosity story.
