What's going on everybody, I hope this finds you striving and thriving and doing absolutely amazing. Every single day. There are students who show up to our schools. The students come into our classrooms, they take their seats, and some of them have no idea about one thing. One thing that could make all the difference in the world for them. My name is Brian Martin, I'm a second grade teacher and host of the teaching champions podcast. The truth is, there are young people who wake up every single day. And they have no idea what they're good at. They don't see their strengths, they may not recognize the gifts that they've been given. And maybe you're able to relate to that. You may not have recognized your strengths and your gifts. And they may have taken someone else to point out those gifts that you have to you. And these champions under our care, they're no different. They need people in their lives, who are going to recognize their different skills, who are going to recognize their gifts, their potential, and people who are going to speak it into them. And this goes for all of our students. Because every single one of our students, they have a gift. And some, they may need a little more help uncovering that gift, but they have it in our champions, they need people who are going to be able to help them see it. We're going to nurture it, and who are going to help them see that bloom in those skills and guests. They might not lie in the academic world. There's gifts that people can have in all sorts of areas, it might be a gift, such as being adaptable, or showing perseverance, being enthusiastic, a great communicator, and so much more. So be deliberate. Watch, and listen to your champions. Pay attention, and all the day do. And when you see them shine, let them know. Be specific about what you saw pointed out to them, help them discover their shine, and then give them opportunities to use their gifts. And don't do it just one time. Give them plenty of opportunities, and give them feedback help them develop these gifts. And the interesting thing is that when we start noticing the shine and others, it changes the way we see them. When we see these gifts, and we recognize these gifts and we share these gifts with them. What do you think happens to your relationships with those champions? It blossoms it strengthens and in a world where there will always be people all around us that are more than willing to tell us what we're not be that person who will let their students know what their shyness we've been blessed with another sunrise. Have an awesome day.
