And if you don't know who Marshall Goldsmith is, he's a New York Times best selling author who has sold millions of books. He's one of the top executive coaches in the world. And the super elite, seek them out to be their executive coach. And he's one of those individuals that when he speaks, we should stop and listen to what he has to say. And in this interview, he was talking about success, and happiness, and achievement. And he says that the one thing that you need to become world class at is forgiving yourself. become world class, at forgiving yourself. And this is from one of the very best executive coaches in the world. Think about how many times recently have you spent time regretting something you sad? Or you hear that voice in your head? And it's just beating yourself up? Because something that you did? Or those times that you run yourself down? For how a lesson went in class? Maybe it's the disappointment you have in yourself when you're looking at test scores, or you question what you said to a colleague or a student. And when you wish you could go back and change it. We hold on to those. And it's like 100 pound weight just holding you down. So be like Marshall Goldsmith. Be like the man who has sold millions of books, who is sought after by people all around the world. become world class at forgiving yourself. Learn from the mistake, grow from the mistake and let it go. You're human. And you work in a profession that can be very emotionally draining at times, where you're forced to make split second decisions on a daily basis. And it's easy to get in a downward spiral of blame, anguish, negative self talk, and have that joy drained right out from you. So take that breath, let it go. Embrace being human and not being perfect. And take that opportunity to learn and grow from those mistakes.
