Dr. Bob Barr is nationally and internationally recognized for his research on poverty and education. He has worked with schools, universities, professional organizations and communities in 47 states and in a number of other countries. He has served as Associate Dean or Dean at Indiana University, Oregon State University, and Boise State University. He is the author/co-author of 16 books, three receiving national recognition: Saving Our Students/ Saving Our Schools, Building a Culture of Hope, and Defining the Social Studies with Barth and Shermis. It is Bob's belief that schools have the power to reshape communities and become first responders for our children of poverty!
