‘When you see someone living their dream you either want to be a part of it, or start living your own’. Melanie Shavers started off having trouble finding a good safe place for after school care. That idea turned into a middle school that serves student’s stem needs in rural North Carolina. The cool thing is that the school focuses on problem based learning. At the end of each year, educator’s get an idea of what students are interested in so that during the next school year they can work on an Inter grade team to come up with a real-world solution.
