“Growing up I didn’t have many black people to look up too, I found myself in situations where I didn’t see people that looked like me. So, when I found that I stuck with it. Be the person you needed when you were younger. Representation matters.” Be the person you needed when you were younger. It’s hard being in a world where people don’t like you, talk like you, or do what you do. It’s like there’s always something missing, representation matters. Privilege is opportunity, you can’t decide where to start but when you see someone living their dream you either want to be a part of that. Or go get your own.
