Chris Jochum is the head of Department of Teacher Education at Fort Hayes State University in Kansas. He is also the Author of The Department Chair: A Practical Guide to Effective Leadership. Chris works with future teachers designing courses to prepare them for our schools. This book is set within the context of serving as a department chair in higher education. However, the principles and guiding questions are applicable to practically any leadership role within a college, university, public school system or private organization. He is also the host of the Department Chair Leadership Podcast.
