In Episode 103 of the Unlocking Unlimited Potential STORIES Show, Brandon Beck and special guest, Dr. Kris DeFilippis discuss his journey through education where he began as a school custodian. This led Kris to pursue his passion, become a substitute teacher, an aide, a monitor, a teacher, Principal, Consultant, New York City Assistant Superintendent, and so much more.
Kris DeFilippis is a Clinical Assistant Professor and Program Director of Educational Leadership at New York University -Steinhardt (NYU Steinhardt). With a research focus on using continuous improvement models to advance school-based equity and justice, Kris has taught Master’s and Doctorate level courses at Fordham University, contributed chapters to two books on school improvement, and served as a consultant with a number of districts around the Tri-State area.
