Beat Educator Burnout with Growth Mindset Strategies

Hi Casey,

The reality of teacher burnout is a growing crisis in education. U.S. K-12 workers have the highest burnout level of all industries nationally, with 44% feeling "always" or "very often" burned out at work.

Education experts Annie Brock and Heather Hundley are on a mission to help teachers combat this overwhelming challenge. In their newly updated The Growth Mindset Coach, Second Edition: The Best-Selling Teacher's Handbook for Fostering Growth and Success [Ulysses Press; August 2025], they offer practical, research-backed strategies to help teachers recharge, build resilience, and prevent burnout.

Drawing on decades of experience as educators and school administrators, Annie and Heather provide tools to help teachers sustain their passion for the long term. They are available for interviews to discuss:
-Why teacher burnout has reached epidemic levels and the urgent need for a sustainable self-care plan
-Research-backed growth mindset strategies to build resilience for educators
-How teachers can reflect on their challenges and successes to prepare for the next school year
-Practical self-care tips to recharge during the summer and prevent emotional exhaustion
-The importance of setting small, attainable goals for personal renewal

“Teaching is a marathon, not a sprint,” Annie said. “While the work can be exhausting, it is also deeply meaningful. By taking time to reflect, recharge, and sharpen your saw, you ensure that you’ll return to the classroom refreshed and ready to support your students.”

I’d love to send you a copy of The Growth Mindset Coach, Second Edition and/or connect you with the authors for an interview on the importance of educator self-care. Please let me know if you are interested!

Best,
Kourtney
