Shifting to Teacher-Led PLCs with Dr. Sara Ranzau

What if you could shift PLCs to become TEACHER-LED instead of being the one who carries the meetings? We all know that this is how it should be- that PLCs were always meant to be led by the professionals in the classroom on a daily basis. But that just isn't always the case. In fact, more often than not, instructional coaches or administrators are holding the weight of leading PLCs. Because of this, PLCs can become less meaningful to teachers and more burdensome for the leaders trying to steer the ship in the right direction.

Dr. Ranzau is a 20-year educator who currently serves as an Instructional Coach in Central Texas.  She is also the Advocacy Director for Texas Association for Literacy Education and soon-to-be Chair (congrats, Sara!).  Additionally, Dr. Ranzau works at the collegiate level as an adjunct professor.
